Critical Thinking I - How Our Minds Affect Decision Making

Critical Thinking I introduces participants to metacognition – thinking about thinking – and explores how our minds can work for us or against us in our decision making. We will look at the mental shortcuts wired into our thinking, our biases, and the logical fallacies that undermine our attempts to make well-reasoned decisions.

Critical Thinking II – How Our Minds Perceive Problems

Critical Thinking II build on the knowledge of how our minds work for and against us to explore how we can guide our minds into creative problem solving instead of problem making. In this, we will discuss how our cultural standpoints and the way we look at problems affects the solutions we see to those problems, and ways to recognise patterns and false patterns in the problems we face.
